Lofoten | Norway
My first experience in the arctic circle

Ramberg
For this leg of the trip, our AirBnB was located centrally in a town called Ramberg. It’s a beautiful little town on the coast with easy access to hikes, attractions, and adventures. I was fortunate enough to take photos here over the course of a few different days and changing weather patterns.

Å
Our first trip out of Ramberg was to Å. It’s at the southern tip of the Lofoten Archipelago. It’s home to the famous Museumskafé bakery, a hostel, and lots of fishing. The overcast and rainy weather

Hamnøy
On our way back from Å, we passed by Hamnøy. We didn’t spend more than 5 min on the side of the road, but it’s worth a mention. The panoramic photo with the reflection of the bay in the water and the clouds partially covering the mountains in the distance is one of my favourite all-time photos I’ve taken.

Røstlandet
Towards the end of our stay in Lofoten, a group of us took a ferry trip to the island of Røst. The main attraction was a birdwatching boat trip with the promise of seeing puffins. I did not have a telephoto lens, so I didn’t manage to get great wildlife shots, but the landscape was captivating enough for me.
